You already feel it coming

You know the teen years are close. You don't always know where to start.

Money, new friend groups, the moments that catch a kid off guard. You want to have those conversations before your child needs them, not after. Jordan starts that conversation for you, one letter at a time.

What your child receives

What's waiting inside.

Closed with a gold seal and stamped with its level on the back, so your child learns to recognize it before they even open it.

A letter from Jordan

A real, relatable story written for exactly this age, not a lecture.

One life skill

A single skill explained simply, the kind most adults wish someone had taught them.

A mission

One small, real world action for your child to try that month, no worksheets required.

A proud moment

A space for your child to write down what they did and how it went.

Progress toward level 12

Every letter moves your child one step closer to finishing the full journey.

Simple pricing

One price. Every level. Both editions.

The same price whether your child starts at level 1, 2, or 3, and whether you choose the girl or boy edition.

How to start

From sign up to the mailbox, in four steps.

1

Pick a starting level

Choose your child's age, 10, 11, or 12. That decides where they start.

2

The Welcome Letter ships

A short letter arrives first. It introduces Jordan and tells your child what to expect each month.

3

Letter 1 arrives by mail

Every month after, a real envelope shows up in your mailbox with your child's name on it.

4

They open it and try it

One story, one skill, one mission for the month. Then they mark their progress toward level 12.

Starting age decides the level

Age 10 → Level 1
36 months, the full journey
Age 11 → Level 2
24 months, still a complete journey
Age 12 → Level 3
12 months, still a complete journey

Every entry point is complete on its own. Nobody receives a shortened version.

Questions

Everything parents ask before their first letter.

What skills or topics will be covered?

Remember being 10, 11, or 12 yourself. There were questions nobody quite answered at the time, how to handle money before you actually had any, how to walk into a new friend group without your stomach in knots, how to be kind when it wasn't the easy choice. Jordan's letters work through real moments like these, one topic a month, alongside skills like empathy, honesty, and staying steady in new situations.

What age is this for?

Before You're 13 is built for children ages 10 to 12, the years right before the teen years begin.

My child is already 11 or 12. Will they miss letters?

No. Your child starts at the level built for their current age, and that level is a complete, full year of letters written for them. Nobody receives a shortened or incomplete version.

Is there a girl and boy edition?

Yes. The skills and structure are exactly the same in both. The only difference is the opening story in each letter, written separately so it feels personal to a girl or a boy reading it, since kids engage with a story that feels like it's actually about someone like them, not a lecture aimed at kids in general. You choose the edition at checkout.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. There is no contract. You can cancel the monthly plan at any time and your child keeps every letter already mailed.

Is this the same as Ready for Middle School Letters?

No. It can be a companion series, but it's a separate product with its own focus. Most families take Ready for Middle School Letters the summer before 6th grade, an 8 week series timed to that transition, though homeschooling and online private school families often take it anytime, since they aren't tied to that same calendar. Before You're 13 runs monthly from wherever your child starts, ages 10 to 12, all the way up to 13, focused on life skills rather than the school transition itself. Some families use both since they cover different moments, but neither one requires the other.
